Plans for the Premier League to resume next month have been in place as football has been suspended since March 9 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The British government has given the green light for matches to resume in June, with a lot of safety measures being put in place.

However, Tottenham left-back Danny Rose, who’s currently on loan with Newcastle, has blasted the government for allowing football to resume, as he claims that it isn’t safe yet to be out there.

Speaking on Lock’Don Live on Instagram, Rose said: “Government is saying ‘bring football back’ because it is going to boost the nation’s morale.

“I don’t give a f*** about the nation’s morale, bro, people’s lives are at risk.

“Football shouldn’t even be spoken about coming back until the numbers have dropped massively. It’s bollocks.”
