The likes of Antonio Rudiger, Tammy Abraham, Danny Rose and Troy Deeney have all raised concerns about the English top flight restarting amid the pandemic.
The Premier League has been suspended since March 9 due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the league is making plans to resume in June and try to wrap up the remaining 92 games within a month’s time frame.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has admitted he understands their reservations about restarting, and believes that the players should be carried along in the plans being made by the Premier League.
“Everyone will handle those situations differently,” the Chelsea manager told Sky Sports.
“People like Troy Deeney, you have to give the freedom to speak out, because people will be speaking from the heart.
“I think we have to upgrade that communication so players know what they’re going through, and then they can make those decisions.”
