Manchester United are trying to step up efforts to keep Angel Gomes at the club for longer by offering the attacking midfielder a new deal.
Gomes’ contract at Old Trafford expires in July, and the Blues are trying to snap up the Manchester United academy product for free.
The 19 year old has only featured five times for United this season, and is keen to go elsewhere in search of regular football unless United can convince him to stay.

So far, efforts made have yielded little progress, and Chelsea who have seen the club’s youngsters join rival teams, like the highly-rated Dominic Solanke joining Liverpool, will be aiming to snap up a player highly rated by a rival team.
According to The Sun, the new deal which United are offering Gomes will see the player earn up to £30,000 a week, and it includes extra earnings that will see his take-home pay improved significantly.
