Football has been suspended since March 9 due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the Premier League is making plans to resume in June.
The Premier League will put in place some safety measures to ensure that the virus isn’t spread, and football will be played behind closed doors.
The Mirror claim that the players themselves could have a large say with clubs set to talk to their players in the next 48 hours.
It’s claimed the clubs will gauge opinions about whether their players are prepared to carry on under the current Project Restart proposals.
ESPN has reported that a growing number of players don’t want to play football during the coronavirus crisis.
A source said: “A lot of players are very uncomfortable with coming back. The only way the league takes this seriously is when someone at a club dies. We will look back on this time with sadness in the future.”
