Jersey numbers are part and parcel of football, and football stars usually tend to have a thing for their favourite numbers.

Once youngsters break into the first team, they quickly tend to ditch their high digits for more famous numbers.

Chelsea youngsters Reece James, Fikayo Tomori and Billy Gilmour will be seeking an upgrade in their jersey numbers, having gotten into the first team.

James currently wears number 24, Tomori wears 29, and Gilmour wears 47.

A number of top jersey numbers are still available at the club, such as Tiemoue Bakayoko’s number 14 shirt, Davide Zappacosta’s number 21 shirt, Kenedy’s 16 shirt and Danny Drinkwater’s number 6 shirt.

Of all the available jerseys, Gilmour could be aiming for the number 6 jersey.
