Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge isn’t pleased with comments made by Chelsea transfer target Timo Werner, who is also wanted by Bayern Munich.

Werner recently responded to rumours linking him with Bayern Munich by insisting he would rather move abroad than join Bayern Munich.

“If a change should become an issue at some point, I would rather take a step abroad than switch to Bavaria,” the 24-year-old told Bild.

Responding to Werner’s comments about a transfer to Bayern Munich, Rummenigge told Bild: “I’m actually no longer astonished at anything, but I have never seen a player make such a statement in response to rumours in public.”
