The German Bundesliga made a return this weekend after the league was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas was far from impressed with the Bundesliga’s long-awaited return, poking fun at the new rules that have been introduced.

While watching Borussia Dortmund beat Schalke, Fabregas tweeted: “I feel like I’m watching a training session.

“You can hear all players and coaches shouting. Now we will value the power of the fans even more.

“Captains choosing pitch sides with a three metre distance when straight away they have to fight for every ball against each other face to face.

“I’m glad football is back, we all needed it, but it will take ages to get used to this new world of football.”
