According to Spanish media outlet Marca, Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic has rejected the chance to join Chelsea.
The £40million rated Juventus midfielder had been reportedly identified by Chelsea boss Frank Lampard as a summer target.
Pjanic, whose contract ends in 2023, is instead keen on joining Spanish club Barcelona.
Barcelona and Juventus are reportedly not close to reaching an agreement over a transfer for the midfielder, with Juventus reportedly rejecting Barcelona’s offer of Arthur Melo as part of the deal for Pjanic.
The Bosnian international has netted three times and set up four goals in 32 appearances so far this season.
