According to The Athletic, Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell remains a key transfer target for Chelsea despite the Blues looking at other left-back options.
Leicester City reportedly want £85 million for the England international but Chelsea are hopeful that he will be cheaper in the current financial climate.
Chilwell has been a long-term target of Chelsea boss Frank Lampard and Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly ready to back Lampard in the pursuit of the defender.
Several reports had claimed the Blues have turned attention to the likes of Alex Telles, Marc Cucurella and Nicolas Tagliafico but The Athletic insists Chilwell remains a key target for the Blues.
Chilwell still has four years left to run on his existing deal at the King Power Stadium that expires in the summer of 2024 and it is believed the winger is interested in joining Chelsea.
