With Chelsea having secured deals for Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner ahead of next season, one name that has also been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea is Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz.
The Bundesliga season for 2019-20 ended on Saturday, and there are claims that it might have been the final game for Havertz in a Bayer Leverkusen shirt.
However, Bayer Leverkusen boss Peter Bosz has insisted Kai Havertz’s exit is not a certainty and he wishes to keep the 21-year-old beyond this season.
“I don’t feel that he is thinking too much about transferring,” Bosz said of Havertz.
Neither are we. I certainly don’t have the impression that this will be his last game for the club.
“He is still under contract with us and I have to assume that he will be with us next season too.
“That will include the German Cup final next month and the next Europa League game against Rangers in August.
“Of course, that’s all dependent on nothing happening before then.”
