Chelsea have been reportedly handed a huge boost in the pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz.
According to Caught Offside, the asking price of Havertz will drop to £70 million following Bayer Leverkusen’s failure qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Bayer Leverkusen were previously demanding in excess of £90 million for the attacking midfielder but that will now drop to £70 million following their failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League football.
Havertz is reportedly interested in joining a Premier League club this summer but only wants to join a club playing Champions League football.
Previous reports had claimed Chelsea were willing to pay £70 million for the Germany international so we could be expecting a bid from Chelsea in the near future.
