It’s no longer news Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is keen on signing Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell this summer but it seems not every Chelsea player is happy with the move.
Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso could be forced out of the club should Chilwell join from Leicester City and he doesn’t seem happy about it.
The Spaniard has liked a tweet criticising Chelsea’s pursuit of Chilwell.
The tweet compared Alonso’s stat with Chilwell’s stat this season and rates Alonso better than Chilwell.
Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard admitted in April that plans were already in motion for summer transfers, despite the current dates of the period not yet certain.
He told Sky Sports: “We have the good young players, we have had experienced players around them that have helped them this year, but we know there are little areas within the squad [we can improve].
“Some of that’s what we have already, some of that’s how we might look to recruit going forward.
“This period now with what’s going on in the world has made it very difficult to plan too much on [transfers], how this is going to look in weeks or months going forward.
“We have to have different versions of plans going forward in terms of how it looks.”
