Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will seek to strengthen other areas in the squad after completing the deal for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
According to Football Insider, Chelsea will submit a £10 million bid for Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster.
The report claims Chelsea want to sign Forster to challenge Kepa Arrizabalaga for the starting spot.
Southampton are reportedly set to listen to offers for the 32 year old goalkeeper this summer and Chelsea are among the many clubs interested.
The Blues see Forster as a potential number two rather than a regular starter, with Willy Caballero aged 38.
Forster dropped to third choice goalkeeper at Southampton before joining Celtic on loan in August.
He was integral to Celtic’s successful title defence this season.
