Four Manchester City players will miss Thursday’s Premier League clash between Chelsea and Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea can take another big step towards securing a top-four finish with victory over Pep Guardiola’s side and the news of Manchester City’s absentees will give Chelsea a huge boost.

The four Manchester City players expected to miss the game against Chelsea are Sergio Aguero John Stones, Claudio Bravo and Eric Garcia.

Aguero limped out of City’s 5-0 win over Burnley on Monday night shortly before half-time and Guardiola confirmed that he is to undergo surgery in Barcelona.

“Tomorrow we will do a surgery in Barcelona with Dr Cugat,” Guardiola told reporters. “After that we don’t know when he will come back and join us.

“After the surgery [we will know more]. He will tell us with more accuracy when he can come back.”
