Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has been warned he can’t afford to drop Christian Pulisic from the team despite signing Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner.
This is according to ESPN pundit Shaka Hislop, who was full of praise for the American youngster, who put in another good performance against Leicester City in the FA Cup on Sunday.
Hislop believes deserves to be in the Chelsea team next season, because he provides so much going forward.
Hislop told ESPN: “They can’t [afford to lose him].
“The one thing he brings, and brings in abundance, is pace from deep in Chelsea’s midfield.
“You saw that in full effect against Manchester City and you saw it again today.
“He’s turned into a wonderful asset for Frank Lampard.
“He’s proving to be a valuable member of the squad, and probably more valuable than we thought six or seven weeks ago.
“Long may it continue as well.”
