Since the exit of Maurizio Sarri to Juventus, the Italian champions have been regularly linked with a move for Chelsea midfielder Jorginho.
According to reports, the Italian club have now ended their pursuit of Jorginho after agreeing a £72.5million deal to land Barcelona midfielder Arthur.
Despite agreeing a deal with Barcelona for Arthur, it is believed the Brazilian midfielder isn’t keen on joining Juventus.
Meanwhile, Jorginho’s agent has said the Chelsea midfielder will remain at the club this summer as his value has gone up so much that no other side can afford him.
“His price-tag has certainly gone up over the last two years, as he has done well in London and become a regular for Italy,” Joao Santos told Calciomercato24.com.
“He is now the vice-captain at Chelsea and has amassed a great deal of experience playing in the Champions League and Europa League. I think it’s very unlikely an offer will come in for Jorginho, because nobody can afford to make that kind of investment on the market right now.
“Because of the pandemic, nobody knows when we can return to normal or even play with fans in the stadium, so that’s a big problem for the transfer market.”
