Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has made a decision every Chelsea fan will love.
According to The Telegraph, the 29 year old midfielder has made his return to full contact training with Chelsea, giving Chelsea boss Frank Lampard some encouragement he will be able to play some part in their season run-in.
The Frenchman had been training on his own, having originally been granted compassionate leave after deciding not to take part in the phase one non-contact return due to fears of contracting the coronavirus.
The midfielder didn’t take part in the intra-squad friendly on Saturday but returned to full training on Monday and also trained with the squad on Tuesday.
Despite returning to training this week, Kante is unlikely to be fit enough to start Chelsea’s first Premier League game against Aston Villa on June 21, but there are now encouraging signs the 29-year-old could play again before the end of the season.
