Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has given up on Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi ahead of the restart of the Premier League.
The 26-year-old has started just one Premier League match all season and has fallen behind Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
According to The Athletic, Batshuayi was only given around 30 minutes to impress during the intra-squad friendly last weekend but was left out completely of Chelsea’s friendly against Reading at Cobham on Wednesday.
Batshuayi has scored 25 goals in 77 games for Blues since signing for £33m from Marseille in 2016, but has managed just 27 league appearances in the past four seasons, including loan spells at Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and Crystal Palace.
