Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is reportedly monitoring the situation of Dean Henderson at Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 23 year old goalkeeper is currently on loan at Sheffield United and has played a key role in ensuring the Blades have the second meanest defence in the Premier League, with only Liverpool conceding fewer goals this term.
According to Daily Express, Lampard is ready to submit a bid for Henderson should Manchester United decide to let the goalkeeper leave on a permanent basis.
David de Gea and Sergio Romero are ahead of Henderson in the pecking order at United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must make a decision over what to do with Henderson this summer.
Solskjaer recently admitted he’s yet to make a decision on Henderson.
“Dean has made some great choices over the years and has developed fantastically,” Solskjaer said.
“We’re looking at that in terms of where he’s going to be next season, but as yet that has not been decided.
“This season has proved a great experience for him, he’s done himself some favours with his performances, and proved he will be England’s number one and Manchester United’s number one at some point.”
