Since joining Chelsea from Leicester City in 2016 for £30 million, N’Golo Kante has been an important player for the club.
However, recent reports have claimed Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is willing to sell the France international this summer to fund a summer transfer spree, amid interest from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
Lampard has now responded to reports claiming Kante will be sold to fund a summer transfer spree.
Lampard insists the midfielder will remain at Chelsea as he is one of the best in the world.
Responding to reports claiming Kante will be sold this summer, Lampard said: “N’Golo is one of the best midfield players in the world. He has everything I really want to work with.
“This season has been tough for him because of injuries. It’s nice to see him fresh.
“N’Golo is so important to us as a team. We need him regularly and hopefully we’ll have that now.”
