Chelsea boss Frank Lampard named Billy Gilmour in the starting XI for Chelsea’s FA Cup game against Leicester City on Sunday.
It was Gilmour’s first start for the Blues since the restart of football.
Speaking before the game against Leicester City, Lampard revealed why he started Gilmour: “He’s one of those players because he finished so brilliantly before lockdown, with two great performances.
“He’s trained well, showed everyday that he’s got the ability and work ethic to be in the starting XI, or in and around it for sure.
“So he gets his opportunities today.”
