Despite signing Hakim Ziyech and almost completing the signing of Timo Werner, the Blues are not done with the spending.

According to Daily Star, Chelsea are leading the way on Flamengo star Gerson, with the likes of Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund also interested.

The report claims Chelsea transfer chief Marina Granovskaia is working on a deal to bring the 23 year old Brazilian midfielder to Stamford Bridge.

Flamengo are reportedly demanding £30 million for Gerson and it is believed they have rejected a bid of £16m from an unnamed Premier League team, believed to be Tottenham.

Flamengo signed Gerson from Italian club Roma last year for £10.5m, making him the most expensive Brazil national ever signed by a Brazilian club.
