Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood, Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli and Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi are three of the most exciting young players in the Premier League.
The trio are still in their teenage years, but are already beginning to make their mark for three of the biggest clubs in England, with Hudson-Odoi even commanding a large transfer fee and interest from German giants Bayern Munich.
Greenwood is an out-and-out centre-forward, while Hudson-Odoi plays out wide and Martinelli is capable of featuring in both positions.
Greenwood has the highest goals scored among the trio, having scored 12 goals in all competitions this season, with 5 coming in the Premier League. The 18-year-old has hit the target with 57.1% of his shots so far, a figure which is better than anyone else in the league, which shows how deadly he can be in the box 18.
18-year-old Gabriel Martinelli has impressed since joining from Brazilian side Ituano in the summer, and has forced his way into the Gunners first team. He has managed three goals in the Premier League this season with no assist so far.
For Hudson-Odoi, he’s more dangerous on the flanks, and while he has one league goal to show for this season so far, he has made four assists in the Premier League this season, with Greenwood only making one assist so far.
Hudson-Odoi is also known for his pace and skills, and leads the way when it comes to dribbling, averaging 1.8 per 90 minutes. Martinelli averages 1.1 dribbles and Greenwood averages 0.9.
On key passes, Hudson-Odoi is also ahead, averaging 1.5 per 90 minutes to Greenwood’s 1.2 and Martinelli’s 1.1.
Greenwood leads on shots per 90 minutes, averaging 2.4 to Martinelli’s 2 and Hudson-Odoi’s 1.8.
These three have the potential to rule the Premier League in a few years time, and one could wonder which of them would go on to become the best. Time has a way of answering every question.
