The Blues are currently fourth in the Premier League table, just three points ahead of fifth placed Manchester United.
The Red Devils went on an 11-game unbeaten run in all competitions before the season was suspended due to coronavirus.
Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has backed Manchester United to beat Chelsea to a fourth place finish.
“They had all the momentum. I don’t think they necessarily need to do too much, just continue as they were,” Owen told Premier League Productions.
“You could say that this break has been a positive because if you finish on a high it’s in the back of your mind, you’re on a high, you’re confident, even when you’re playing with your kids in the back garden or doing whatever you’ve been doing for the last few weeks.
“You’ve got a positive mindset and, if they can win their first game, it will all come flooding back. It’s key for them.
“Their run of fixtures is okay as well, they’re going to put some pressure on Chelsea for that fourth place. I think they could do it, they’ve got momentum.
“Fernandes is a brilliant signing and is looking really good, Pogba’s coming back, Rashford’s coming back so even though you could say you’re breaking their momentum with this [break], two of their best players are actually going to be fit or very close to fitness when we come back as well.”
