Kepa: Mixed performance from the Spaniard as he made an excellent save to deny Fernandinho. Before that, he nearly cost the team with a poor clearance. 6/10
Azpilicueta: Excellent captain’s performance from the Spaniard as he continued from where he stopped against Aston Villa. Solid against Raheem Sterling, and kept pushing forward to help the team attacking-wise. 7.5/10
Christensen: Very assured display. Comfortable on the ball and didn’t look shaky against a rampaging Manchester City attack. 7/10
Rudiger: Got Kepa out of trouble early in the game. Was a bit shaky at times, but overall did well in defence. 7/10
Alonso: Had a difficult time against Riyad Mahrez in the first-half and got a yellow card for it. Got better defensively in the second period. 6.5/10
Kante: For the second time running, he featured deep in midfield and played very well. Worked hard to cover spaces, pressed when needed to and was good on the ball as well. Would be blamed for the foul that ensured Kevin De Bruyne’s stunning free-kick and a couple of misplaced passes, but top performance nevertheless. 8/10
Mount: Worked very hard and made it difficult for City. Missed one good chance with his weaker foot and was very lively. 7/10
Barkley: Average performance as he could not come to terms with City’s quality in midfield at times. 6/10
Pulisic: Definitely one of his best Chelsea performances. Earned his starting berth from the previous game against Palace. Massive run to score Chelsea’s opening goal. Constantly troubled City’s defence and was unlucky to score only one goal. Played a huge role in helping Chelsea get the penalty for the second goal, and also saw a goal line clearance from Kyle Walker. Top game from the American. 9/10
Willian: Had some bursts but didn’t always look in top gear. Calmly slotted in the penalty to be ensure a massive win for Chelsea. 7/10
Giroud: Difficult game for the Frenchman, but he worked hard at times. 6/10
Tammy Abraham: Replaced Giroud after the hour mark and added a bit of life to the attack. Played a part in winning the penalty. 6/10
Kovacic: Came on for Barkley and worked hard to solidify the midfield. 6/10
Pedro: Did well after coming on as he tested Ederson with a fine shot late on. Was a stoppage time substitute. 6/10
Gilmour: Very short time on but he showed his class with one cross field pass to Pedro. 6/10
