Christian Pulisic has been one of Chelsea’s best players since the restart of the Premier League this month, scoring twice in two appearances.
The American international came off the bench to score in the 2-1 win over Aston Villa and scored Chelsea’s first goal in the 2-1 victory over Manchester City on Thursday.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is delighted about the form of Pulisic but this could be bad news for another talented Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Pulisic’s good form coupled with the arrival of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech this summer means Hudson-Odoi must return to the form that made Chelsea and Bayern Munich fight for his signature last season.
Hudson-Odoi missed preseason due to injury but made a bright start on his return from injury. He scored his first Premier League goal and netted in the 7-1 win over Grimsby Town in the League Cup, but has failed to really kick on.
Hudson-Odoi needs to quickly rediscover his spark.
