Chelsea have reportedly contacted Bayer Leverkusen over the transfer of Germany international Kai Havertz.
According to The Athletic, there’s still a long way to go for Chelsea to make the deal happen. The report claims Chelsea, Bayer Leverkusen and the player himself are ‘miles apart’ in terms of reaching an agreement.
It is believed Chelsea will have to pay at least £75m to sign Havertz. With Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool and Manchester United interested in the 21 year old, a bidding war could push his asking price even higher.
