Chelsea are close to completing the transfer of one of football’s hottest talents, Timo Werner, with the Blues having triggered the release clause of the German striker.
Chelsea beat competition from Liverpool to signing of Werner, and the Blues are believed to have agreed a deal of £200k-per-week for the 24-year-old.
Former RB Leipzig’s manager Ralf Rang nick has hailed the would-be Chelsea signing and says that the German international will bring quick movement and quality finishing to any team he plays for.
“I think he would do better in the hands of a club that is not necessarily defined by possession football,” Rangnick told BILD.
“Timo has made great progress under (Leipzig coach) Julian Nagelsmann and his most important weapons are the quick movement and powerful finishing.”
Werner has proven how lethal he can be by scoring 31 goals in 40 appearances in all competitions this season.
