On Thursday night, reports emerged that RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner had agreed a deal to join Chelsea next season after the Blues triggered his £49 million release clause.
Chelsea have reportedly offered the 24 year old striker a £200,000 a week contract which will make him the second highest earner at the club behind Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante.
Chelsea fans are eager to know when the striker will finally complete the move to Stamford Bridge.
According to Daily Mail, Werner’s agent Karlheinz Forster is understood to have held advanced discussions on Thursday and the finer details of the deal are expected to be ironed out with Chelsea by the start of the new week.
This could mean Werner could complete his Chelsea transfer this new week. With his release clause set to expire by June 15, it is expected Werner will complete his Chelsea transfer before then.
