Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley played a huge role to seal Chelsea’s passage to the semi-final of the FA Cup, as the Blues defeated Leicester City 1-0 at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.
Barkley who won the FA Cup with Chelsea in 2018, shortly after joining from Everton, has revealed that the Blues have a winning mentality of winning trophies regularly, as well as a manager with a winning mentality.
“It’s the mentality of the club and the gaffer since he’s been back,” Barkley told the official Chelsea website. “He wants to win every game and it’s a trophy. Chelsea are a massive club, we win trophies every year and everyone’s motivated with every FA Cup game.
“Even before the lockdown we had big results against big sides and since we’ve been back we beat Man City in the week and at Leicester, against an excellent side, we won the game.
“It’s given us confidence and hopefully we continue with it.”
There are four big sides left in the FA Cup, with Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal all to fight for the FA Cup trophy this season.
Chelsea will face Manchester United in the semi-final.
