Chelsea have agreed a deal in principle to sign Timo Werner from RB Leipzig after triggering his £49m release clause.
The 24 year old striker has impressed this season after scoring 31 goals in all competitions this season.
According to The Times, Werner can’t wait to meet his new Chelsea teammates after reportedly agreeing terms with Chelsea on a £200,000 a week contract.
Werner is reportedly excited about joining Chelsea because he is very much excited by the prospect of working under Chelsea boss Frank Lampard.
The striker is also excited about Chelsea’s position in the Premier League which will see the Blues finish in Champions League places and is thrilled about the club’s bright future under Lampard.
With Werner set to add more firepower to Chelsea’s attack next season, the sky is obviously the limit for the Blues.
