Against Watford, Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley scored and assisted as the Blues returned to winning ways with a crucial three points.
The game against Watford was his third consecutive Premier League start, and it was the first time in his Chelsea career that he has achieved this.
Ahead of Tuesday’s Premier League game against Crystal Palace, Barkley has urged Chelsea boss Frank Lampard to hand him a fourth consecutive start as a regular run in the team has really helped him feel physically and mentally fresh.
“It’s always good as a player to get a run of games,” Barkley said.
“I’ve been feeling fit and I worked really hard during the lockdown to make sure I was ready.
“I feel that is paying off now because I feel really fit and really good. I just want to carry this on now.”
