Chelsea got a comfortable 3-0 victory against Watford at Stamford Bridge on Saturday night. Olivier Giroud, Willian and Ross Barkley scored all three goals for Chelsea to send the Blues back into fourth place.
There were a number of brilliant performances on the night, but the player who caught the eye most for former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas, was Mason Mount.
Just before the half-hour mark, Mount played a key role in the opening goal. He fizzed a pass into Ross Barkley, who played in Olivier Giroud to fire a fine finish into the far corner. Mount might not have gotten a goal or an assist, but he was brilliant all game, much to the delight of Cesc Fabregas.
“It’s all Mason Mount here,” tweeted the Monaco midfielder.
“The pass between the lines made all the difference for that goal.”
Chelsea’s next game is away to Crystal Palace on Tuesday night, and the Blues will be chasing another win in order to maintain a top four finish.
