Chelsea bounced back from the defeat to Sheffield United with a 1-0 win over Norwich City at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
Chelsea are just four points shy of securing Champions League football, as Manchester United and Leicester City will face each other on the last day of the season.
Chelsea’s remaining games aren’t easy ones either, as the Blues face Liverpool next at Anfield before welcoming Wolves at Stamford Bridge on the season’s finale.
Chelsea legend Ashley Cole has joked that he hopes the Liverpool squad go on another night out to celebrate their title success, before their Premier League clash with the Blues.
“They’re two very, very good sides. You go to Anfield, I think when they’re going to get the Premier League trophy so hopefully they’ve had another night out before the game and are not too worried about it,” he told Sky Sports.
“Chelsea have to go there and try to be ruthless, try maybe sit back and have a defensive mindset because I feel to get six points is tough, playing Liverpool away and Wolves at home, so you’d take three to be honest.
“You’d go into the last game of the season thinking you have to win this and you’re safe then. I think I would take that as the Chelsea manager.”
