According to Manchester Evening News, Chelsea are prepared to more than double the wages of Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson.
The 23 year old goalkeeper has impressed on loan at Sheffield United and Chelsea boss Frank Lampard wants him as replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Chelsea have reportedly made contact with Henderson’s representatives. The goalkeeper currently earns around £70,000 weekly and Chelsea are reportedly offering him £170,000 weekly to dump Manchester United for Chelsea.
Henderson will return to United once his loan with Sheffield United ends next week and Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to make a decision on his future as the England international has no intention of staying just to compete with De Gea.
Manchester Evening News claim Henderson wants to play for Manchester United but will leave permanently during the summer transfer window if he isn’t assured of a first team place at Manchester United.
