Chelsea set to offer Kepa Arrizabalaga plus cash for La Liga goalkeeper

Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has struggled for consistency this season and Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has reportedly lost faith in the Spanish international.

According to reports, Lampard is ready to offer Kepa plus cash to sign a top La Liga goalkeeper this summer.

The Mirror claim Chelsea have made Jan Oblak the No 1 goalkeeper target this summer and would be willing to send Kepa Arrizabalaga to Atletico Madrid as part of any potential deal.

Oblak, 27, has a £120m buy-out clause in the contract he signed last year, which expires in 2023 and he is regarded as one of the best keepers in the world.

Due to the effects of the coronavirus, Atletico Madrid are reportedly open to letting Oblak join Chelsea if a substantial offer is received, particularly if it sees them gaining a replacement like Kepa.

  1. Keppa is not Chelsea problem but Lampard who cannot figure out his best eleven for crucial matches. Lampard is too sentimental when selecting players for each match that’s the wrong way to establish his own football philosophy. Use more of the old experience players if you want top 4 and stop saying that some players are angry with you (Lampard)
