Chelsea transfer target Declan Rice has been urged to resist Chelsea’s big money offer and remain at West Ham.
This is according to Tony Carr, West Ham’s former director of youth development, who was at the club when Rice arrived as a 14-year-old having been released by Chelsea’s academy.
“I’m a little bit concerned. I hope he stays, I really do,” Carr told the We Are West Ham podcast.
“He is developing into a top player.
“Unfortunately, if someone says, ‘We’re going to double your money if you come to us’, it’s hard to turn down.
“My message to Dec is, ‘Stay where you are pal. You’re young enough and there’s still plenty of time to go to the big guns’.”
