Chelsea lost to Bayern Munich in the first leg round of 16 Champions League clash at Stamford Bridge, with the Bavarians inflicting a 3-0 win on Frank Lampard’s young side.

Champions League football will resume in August, by then club football would have been rounded up.

UEFA announced on Thursday that the second leg game between Chelsea and Bayern Munich can go on behind closed doors in Germany and on Friday, UEFA confirmed Chelsea will face Bayern at the Allianz Arena on Saturday 8 August. Kick-off will be 8pm UK time.

The draw for the remainder of the competition was made on Friday morning at UEFA headquarters in Switzerland.

If Chelsea manage to go past Bayern Munich, the Blues will either face Napoli or Barcelona in the quarter-finals.
