Chelsea are believed to be favourites to sign up Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen, with the Blues heavily linked with a move for the 21-year-old, despite having snapped up Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner ahead of next season.

Meanwhile, former Germany striker Oliver Bierhoff, believes Kai Havertz should be at a club like Real Madrid.

“He is a player for Real Madrid,” Bierhoff told Marca.

“He is a young player who has everything: great talent, technique, good physique. He is a very complete player and he will be very important for us [the German national team].”

Asked about Kai Havertz next destination, the 52-year-old ex German international who’s currently a director at the German Football Association (DFB), admitted that he’s not aware where Havertz will end up.

“I don’t know,” Bierhoff replied when asked where he thought Havertz would end up.

“But I want him to be in perfect shape for us.”
