Chelsea youngster Billy Gilmour has made the six-man shortlist for the Premier League 2 Player of the Season award.
The 19-year-old has been nominated for the award after a standout campaign in the Premier League 2 which he started 11 of the 17 PL2 games, scoring two goals and assisting four as the Chelsea team under the guidance of Andy Myers sat at the top of the table before the league was abandoned due to Covid-19.
Gilmour picked up the PL2 Player of the Month award in 2019 for the month of August and has been a revelation this season.
Gilmour will be up against Jamal Hector-Ingram (Derby County), Curtis Jones (Liverpool), Liam Cullen (Swansea City), Rayhaan Tulloch (West Brom) and Nathan Holland (West Ham).
The shortlist was selected by a panel of Premier League representatives after PL2 managers had nominated the best individual performance from each of their opponents over the season. The winner will be announced shortly.
