Chelsea sit third in the Premier League, one point above Leicester, with a game in hand over Foxes, after they lost 3-0 to Tottenham on Sunday.

Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, who scored as Chelsea beat Manchester United 3-1 in the FA Cup on Sunday, has thanked Tottenham Hotspur for beating Leicester, thus strengthening the Blues’ grip on a top four place in the Premier League.

“Thanks to Spurs because Leicester did not win today,” Giroud said.

“But now we need to focus on the Premier League because we want to finish top three and obviously win another FA Cup.”
