Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi hasn’t featured for the Blues since the resumption of the Premier League, and the last time he featured for the first team was in February.
Hudson-Odoi is yet to recapture his best form since suffering from an Achilles injury last year, and has struggled to impress this season under Frank Lampard, despite having caught the attention of German giants Bayern Munich before sealing a deal with Chelsea.
It didn’t get better for the 19-year-old as he contracted coronavirus back in March and later recovered from the disease.
He was subsequently caught up in controversy after he was faced with rape allegations during lockdown.
With all that put behind him, Hudson-Odoi is trying to prove to the gaffer that he deserves a place in the team.
During Friday’s training session, Hudson-Odoi showed superb balance and skill to twist past his marker and when confronted by goalkeeper Willy Caballero he chipped the ball over the experienced Argentine.
