According to Jamie O’Hara, Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is absolutely not good enough to be Chelsea’s No.1.
The pundit claims the Spanish goalkeeper is only good enough to be in Chelsea’s U23 team.
“He’s absolutely not good enough, for me. A complete waste of money,” O’Hara told talkSPORT.
“You can see Frank Lampard is not having him.
“The only thing they can do with this keeper is send him out on loan back to Spain, get his confidence back – because you can see that’s gone – and then they can build his value back up and then they have to sell him.
“And unless he’s unbelievable [when out on loan] I don’t see him getting back in the Chelsea team.
“I don’t think he’s adapted well to the Premier League, you can see his shot-stopping is non-existent. How someone has paid £72million for a keeper like this? I’m amazed!
“His shot-stopping, his leadership skills… when I look at him he looks like an Under-23s goalkeeper. It looks like Chelsea have just thrown him in because two of their first-team goalkeepers are injured.
“When you look for a new goalkeeper the things you look for are: Is he a man, a leader, can he command his area and is he a good shot-stopper?
“For me, Kepa is none of those things and Chelsea have paid £72m for him!
“Chelsea’s defenders don’t have any confidence in him, he’s got to be your leader in the back four!
“I just don’t think he’s good enough for Chelsea. Kepa is not going to be their No.1 next season, so Chelsea have to get a new keeper.”
