Chelsea manager Frank Lampard must have ruffled some feathers in the Chelsea team with his line-up.

The Blues boss has dropped some experienced players to the bench at times, with Jorginho having been the most hit, as he’s yet to start a game since the restart. Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has also been dropped to the bench for the last two games.

Lampard has admitted that some of his players are unhappy, as he admitted that he always has some tough decisions to make.

“A good professional will be unhappy that they’re not playing but will deal with it in the right way, which he has done,’ said Lampard of the 28-year-old. ‘In my job, you have to understand that every individual is different and I try to deal with them as I feel our relationship is individually.

“I can see sometimes in a player’s face that they’ve got the hump but that’s the nature of my job. There are 11 places for a squad of 20-odd players so I can’t keep everybody happy all the time. I don’t mind an unhappy face.

“I have to accept in my job that I see that but at the same time we want professionalism and players to act the right way. Jorginho has absolutely done that so for that I’m delighted with him and it says a lot about him. Of course, he’s a top-class player – there’s no doubt about that.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.

  1. Indeed these players need motivation. We can’t have the same people..Where is Batshuayi 😕…us fans we are worried about the team’s performance especially today the Sheffield match was disastrous

  2. Chelsea should look for 2 defenders and 1 midfielder if they want to challenge for honours next season.

  3. Lampard must go including all his players that are unhappy.

Chelsea need to get in professional players inc goalkeeper.

We cant have unhappy players and unprofessional managers.

Seems like they decided when to win and when to loose.

  4. Yesterday was a big wake up call for Frank. He was tactically left short. We all know how Sheffield play so why didn’t he. Why keep playing Tammy when Giroud is in such good form. We need 2 defenders minimum a decent goalkeeper and a midfielder. I can’t see us winning another game if we continue playing like this.

  5. Lampard you need to teach your players what to do when they have the ball, not to run in the field like a kids.

  6. Frank Lampard has his own inexperienced tactical issues. Why has not built a team of at least 15 consistent players for the whole season.
No player can consistently play 3 matches for a period of 3 matches.Chelsea have only Williams and Pulsic for now.Others positions and players are not yet UEFA champion league players. They cannot even win any of the trophies in England. Chelsea must also get a first class coach to boss Frank Lampard.

  7. Why won’t they be unhappy, when only Frank does is to future more of Barkley, Mount, Abraham and still wanting to get an average Rice with overpriced Chilwell. What do you expect the other nationals to think?

  8. Lampard should stop complaining about team not playing well. It is his business to find why and formulate a solution during the game and not complain afterwards.

Please Admit it Lamps, will you be happy if you got these treatments in your playing days? I have been a blue blood since Ruud Gullit played for Chelsea and i must admit you have done beyond all fans expectations as our gaffer but my only unhappiness is the fact that you don’t defend well as a coach. World Class Defenders Rudigar, Zouma, Azpi, Alonso play like kindergarten students under you defensively poor system. Conceding 50 plus goals is too poor for a top 4 Chelsea Fc team.
