According to ESPN, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard and Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola are interested in Everton defender Lucas Digne as they weigh-up alternatives to Ben Chilwell.
Chilwell is Lampard’s first choice target for the left-back position but with Leicester City demanding close to £80 million for the England international, Lampard is now looking at other options.
Chilwell is also a top transfer target for Pep Guardiola but the Manchester City boss isn’t willing to spend that much on Chilwell.
Digne has been one of Everton’s standout players since joining from Barcelona for £18m in 2018 and was named the club’s Player of the Season in his debut year.
Lampard believes he could sign the Everton left-back for less than the amount Leicester City are demanding for Chilwell.
