Italy midfielder Jorginho is yet to feature for Chelsea since the restart of the Premier League, with Chelsea boss Frank Lampard preferring N’Golo Kante as Chelsea’s deepest midfielder.
When Kante picked up an injury during Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Watford, Lampard chose Billy Gilmour instead of Jorginho to replace Kante.
Questions have been asked about Jorginho’s Chelsea future with the Italian international failing to make an appearance in all competitions since the restart of the league.
Despite failing to make a single appearance for Chelsea since the restart, Lampard insists Jorginho is in his plans.
When asked for the latest on Jorginho, Lampard said: “Jorginho is in my plans.”
Jorginho is expected to step in should Kante miss the trip to Palace on Tuesday, though Billy Gilmour would be another option with the Scot having stepped off the bench against Watford.
