Olivier Giroud is no stranger to the FA Cup final, and the World Cup winner is yet to lose anytime his side has made it to the final of England’s oldest cup competition.
Giroud is set to start in the final of Saturday’s FA Cup final clash against former side, Arsenal, and the Frenchman who has tasted victory in this game against Arsenal, is in good form ahead of the tie.
Giroud has banged in 7 goals since the restart, and has also scored six goals in his last seven games for Chelsea and on each of his last four appearances.
Ahead of Saturday’s clash, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has hailed the 33-year-old who has had to fight his way into the Chelsea team this second half of the season, beating Michy Batshuayi and Tammy Abraham to become the number one striker at the club.
“It’s always firstly down to the player on form,” Lampard said when asked about Giroud’s resurgence.
“I try to work with the group to make my message clear. You work on a lot of things with strikers, on and off the ball.
“Olivier has been fantastic listening to that, the credit goes to him.”
