Following Chelsea’s 3-0 thrashing of Watford at Stamford Bridge on Saturday night, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has warned his players to get used to playing under pressure ‘because it’s going to be tough all the way through’.
Chelsea had a chance to move into third in midweek but missed the chance after losing 3-2 to West Ham. The Blues were under pressure to respond to regain fourth spot and responded well with a victory over Watford.
“Pre-West Ham, we could have gone third and we let ourselves down,” Lampard told Sky Sports.
“Today, there was a bit of pressure to get back to fourth and we produced – so get used to that pressure, whatever way it looks, because it’s going to be tough all the way through.”
