Chelsea lost 3-2 to relegation threatened West Ham at the London Stadium on Wednesday night, and the Blues have another game against a relegation threatened team this weekend.
Chelsea play host to struggling Watford at Stamford Bridge on Saturday night, but Lampard isn’t taking this game lightly.
Watford are 17th in the league and are yet to win a game since the season’s restart. Watford have even lost their last two league games, but Chelsea boss Frank Lampard isn’t carried away by their poor form and has warned his side to take the game seriously.
Lampard also believes that new boss Nigel Pearson has done a great job so far in charge of Watford.
Lampard said in his press conference on Saturday afternoon: “They’re a dangerous team and with Nigel Pearson they’ve shown a real desire to get out of trouble.
“He came in at a really tough time but there’s a spirit within them so I won’t pay too much attention to recent results. We know they have a very good side and they’re desperate for points.
“We came unstuck against a team in a similar situation a few days ago so we should be fully aware of the dangers of the game.”
