Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has warned his team about four Manchester United players
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has described Manchester United’s front three of Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial, as the league’s most potent at the moment, while also hailing the influence of Bruno Fernandes in midfield.
Lampard said: “We know they [United] are playing well.
“They have a very potent front three, probably the most potent front three in the country on pure numbers anyway and obviously Fernandes has made a huge difference since arriving in January.”
Lampard is also keen on winning the FA Cup as a manager, with Chelsea having won it eight times.
Lampard who won the competition as a Chelsea player four times, said: “We’ve got Manchester United in front of us and then Man City or Arsenal after that so there’s a lot of work to do to join the illustrious list.
“Of course, we want to win a trophy. We’re Chelsea and we’re in a semi-final. The league is obviously huge as well but at this point we’re fighting on two fronts domestically and we have to give everything to try and do that.
“A club like Chelsea will always want to win these kind of trophies and it’s what we’ve done very well in the modern era. It feels like we’re in a slightly different position this year because of the circumstances of this season but we have an opportunity and it’s up to us to make the best of it on Sunday.”
